The concept of the new design of the hydraulic cylinder was developed on the basis of advanced numerical calculations using the CFD method. Numerical simulations were based on the immersed solid method and included a flow analysis taking into account the temperature in the hydraulic cylinder chamber.

The wide range of simulation tests included:

  • Comparative analyzes of fluid flow in a classic cylinder and a new design,
  • Determining the degree and type of liquid mixing in the hydraulic cylinder,
  • Research on the impact of the angular arrangement of nozzles on the fluid exchange in the cylinder,
  • Research on the influence of the inlet orifice diameter on the degree of fluid exchange in the cylinder.
